The East Midlands is a region defined by its diversity of landscape, community, and opportunity. At the centre of these communities are the region’s schools, working every day to break the link between background and life chances. Collaboration has long been a defining strength of the area, and the RISE programme is taking this to a new level.
In 2025/26, the RISE Universal Grant launched with a £1.4β―million national investment to accelerate projects designed to deliver sector-wide improvement. Its mission is clear: raise attainment in English and Maths, strengthen inclusion, enhance Reception Year quality, and boost attendance across the system.
